I want to share with you a recent engagement photo session I did. This stretch of beach, which is located in Laguna Beach, is one of my favorites. It’s beautiful, clean and the perfect location for engagement photos.

I sometimes get asked what our final DVD’s look like and I want to show a recent example. When you also hire us to do photography, as well as video, I am at a great advantage because I am able to use the beautiful pictures that Veronica takes and use them throughout the DVD production process.

I like to use high quality photos that come from a professional photo camera as opposed to using a “still” image from video which gives the picture… well a “video” look. Even if you try to fix it up it never looks good in my opinion. I like to use a lot of photos for the DVD cover, menus, etc, and so using high quality photos is very important to me.

I don’t like to just slap on photos. If we do the photography for your event I will usually have hundreds of photos to choose from and so I take my time in finding the right photos to use on your DVD.

The below example is from a recent Quinceanera we did.

And when you put in the DVD in your DVD player you will get a lot more pictures like the one below that is for the main menu. The menu behaves just like a regular menu from any DVD movie. You can select where you want to go.

Saturday was definitely the most unique wedding we have done. Brides always talk about having the perfect fairy tale wedding and this was definitely it. The wedding took place at the Disneyland Hotel. When Emily & David hired us to cover their wedding we knew it was going to be special.

Everything was taken right out of a story book. The Princess arrived in her horse drawn carriage while her prince waited for her at the altar. Everything was perfect down to the little details. The Disneyland staff were very professional and made the day run smooth.

Melissa’s mom hired us to video and photograph her daughter’s Quinceanera later this month. Melissa wanted a photo shoot prior to her event. We decided to give her pictures an “urban” look and settled on the Americana at Brand in Glendale. It’s a new location with beutiful buildings and landscape.

Melissa was a lot of fun to work with and as you can see a natural and very photogenic. She has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. See the picture below. Green eyes with a yellow center. Absolutely gorgeous.

We booked Leah and Steven back in December of 07. Veronica and I took a liking to them immediately, as well as their families. They seemed very genuine, very personable and a lot of fun. They really wanted their video and photos to be special and they seemed to be willing to do whatever it took to make that happen.

We decided to put together a “love story” video for them to show on their wedding night as well as a Same Day Edit. I think they were very happy with the results. There were a total of three videos put together and were shown consecutively on Saturday night. I have broken them up here for easier viewing. Their wedding was held at Mountain Meadows Country Club in Pomona.

Wedding Preparations (4:47)

The song I chose for this was “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel. Yes, maybe it’s an old song but who can’t forget the scene from 1989’s “Say Anything” where John Cusack is holding up his boom box outside the window of the woman he loves. Check out the scene here. Beautiful scene which I’ve never forgotten. I just thought it was appropriate for Leah and Steven.

Same Day Edit (5:05)

The song I chose for this was “Kissing” by Bliss. A group from Denmark which I discovered on iTunes. Beautiful song. I got chills when I heard it - usually a good sign and an indicator for me when I find the perfect song : ) You can see their video here.

We did photography as well. Once again, Veronica took some awesome photographs.
